Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) 2023
.png)
Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) started as a "Day of Unity" in 1981 to connect advocates and survivors across the country who were working to end domestic and intimate partner violence. Eventually recognition started building on local, state, and nationwide levels.
In October 1987, the first DVAM was celebrated and is now an important month for all service organizations across the country. DOVE is so excited to connect with our community in raising awareness throughout the month. We have so much planned and there are so many ways to get involved!

We'll keep updating this next section of the website every day to correspond with our calendar! (Click on squares for more details)

DOVE is honored to celebrate Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October. We hope you can join us in celebrating and raising awareness of this important issue.
