Kiera Bruce

Children & Youth Services Coordinator

Kiera Bruce, MSW, LCSW (she/her) earned her B.A. in Psychology with a focus in Mental Health & Counseling at Emmanuel College in 2017. She went on to earn a Master of Social Work from Simmons University in 2020. Kiera has a background in working with children and teens who have experienced complex trauma, specifically young children who have experienced or been exposed to domestic violence. As a clinician, she has utilized various therapeutic modalities including play therapy, sand play therapy, art therapy, CBT, and attachment-based work through individual counseling and family work. Kiera’s social work experience extends from interning at Waltham Creative Head Start working directly with children ages 3-5 year old, facilitating social skills groups, and helping children in the classroom; to her time at Children’s Charter Trauma Clinic doing outpatient clinical work with children and families. In addition, she was part of their “We Can Talk About It” DV team. Kiera has always had a passion for working with children and teens shown through her work as a camp counselor for 7 summers at the South Shore YMCA and time as a Toddler Teacher at Bright Horizons. Kiera is a native of Quincy, but currently resides in the greater Boston area enjoying Fenway park and the esplanade.
